The advantages of starter pellets during sowingThe substrate of coconut coir pith and coconut fibre contains inorganic fertilisers and provides the seedlings with important nutrients during the first weeks of their growth. The fleece is rooted by the seedling and is naturally degradable within two weeks – so no pricking is necessary and the seedling can be planted out completely! |
100% natural and peat freeOur coconut pellets consist of 100% natural coconut fibre, coconut coir pith and inorganic fertiliser – the perfect starter package for the first weeks of life of your young plants! The raw material of our coco pellets is beautifully shown in the picture above. We attach great importance to controlled production and only use peat-free growing soil. |
Sowing is that easy!
Start by placing the dry coir pellets next to each other on a tray with the small groove facing upwards. Pour water onto the pellets (ca. 1/2 cup) until they are unable to absorb any more liquids. Place the seeds in the small opening in the centre of the coir pellets.
When they are big enough, the seedlings can be planted out in a pot or in the garden.
You can transplant the seedlings together with the pellet – this reduces the risk of damaging the delicate roots! The young plants root through the thin fleece surrounding the coir tablets. The fleece decomposes after a few weeks.
