  • There’s no “WS2812B” option on the setting of “Magic-LED” APP. To control WS2812B ??WS2813 or WS2815 LED strip, please choose WS2811 and GRB on the setting page.
  • The controller only supports LED lights with smart IC like WS2812B, WS2811, SK6812. It cannot support ordinary RGB/RGBW LED strip without smart IC.
  • The input voltage of the controller must be the same as the working voltage of the LED strips( e.g. with WS2812B LED strips should use 5V power supply for this controller; with WS2811 LED strips, should use 12V power supply for this controller) If using a 12V or 24V power supply on 5v led lights, the led lights will be damaged.
  • Please use a power supply not a battery to power the controller. The output power of power supply must be more than the max power of led light. For example, if the work voltage and max amp of your led light is 5V 10A 50W, power supply output must be 5V 10A 50W at least. (e.g. recommend 5v 100w power supply for 5meters long WS2812B 300 LEDs Strip) Otherwise, it will not work smoothly.

Trouble Shooting:

1. Why wrong color?

?? If the color is wrong, for example, you choose the red, but the color of the light strip is green, you need to choose a different settings, such as RGB, RBG, GRB, GBR, BGR or BRG.

2. Why can not work?

?? Please check output voltage and amp of your power supply and confirm whether it can match controller and led lights.

?? Please set enough total pixels number, correct RGB order and IC type. Otherwise they cannot work smoothly. e.g. in the APP, set 2048 total pixels number, select the current RGB order(normally GRB for WS2812B LED Strip) and select the current IC type(WS2811 for WS2812B LED Strips) .

?? Double check the connection to confirm it’s secure; keep the connection between power supply and controller as short as possible, DO NOT use extension wires.

?? If only the FIRST LED on, try ground the extra white wire of the strip to the “”-5V”” connector of the power supply.

?? The APP might not compatible with some smart phone model, please note. e.g. This controller does not support Blackberry smartphone.
