The 300IF Aquarium filter is suitable for fresh or salt water aquarium tanks up to 70 Litres and is designed for submersible use. The filter is supplied with an adjustable spray bar and venturi aeration nozzle to help oxygenate the water returning into your aquarium, meaning that in principle no air pump is required.

The venturi effect works by aerating the water via the pipe as it is pumped back into the tank. This accelerates the water flow and draws in a stream of air from above the surface.
