This great value Baby Hand and Foot Casting Kit contains all of the materials you need to make beautiful 3D plaster casts of your own baby’s hand and foot.

800g strong stone casting plaster
20ml paint

SIMPLE PROCESS

mix alginate with 30 degree centigrade water
placebaby’s hand or foot into the mixture for anywhere from 30 seconds to 1minute before the alginate sets (timing depends at what stage you putbaby’s hand or foot in the mixture)
remove baby’s hand or foot – now you have your alginate mould
mix plaster with water
pour into alginate mould
after an hour or so the plaster has set, gently break away the alginate mould from the plaster cast to reveal a work of art!

And that’s it, simples!

Create your baby’s casts in just a few simple steps…


Mix BabyRice Alginate with 30??C Water Alginate must be mixed with 30??C water. (Warmer water will make the alginate set too quick, cold water will make it not set at all). Do use a thermometer to ensure the water temperature is correct!	Immerse Hand for Making Hand Mould Immerse Hand into Alginate/Water Mix	Immerse Foot for Making Foot Mould Or Immerse Foot into Alginate/Water mix	fill mould with plaster When the impression mould has been created, fill with the casting plaster.Ensuring all sections of the mould is filled with plaster, to avoid missing sections from your plaster cast

Reveal your 3D Plaster


Break away Alginate Mould from Set Plaster Cast After a couple of hours, the plaster has set and you can remove the alginate mould from the 3D cast.This is the fun bit!	Unpainted 3D Plaster Cast You can remove any plaster bumps from the plaster whilst it’s still damp – they can be literally picked off!Leave the cast to fully dry out for at least 5 days before painting	Paint your Casts to Protect and Enhance Painting your cast helps to protect and seal the plaster, the paint also greatly enhances the fine skin details in the cast.If you’d like to leave the cast white, choose the White paint option for your kit.	ta da! Ta da!Your finished casts, a beautiful keepsake of how tiny your baby’s hand and foot once were.And in the future, when your baby is all grown-up, they will be astonished at just how small they once were!
