IMPORTANT NOTICE:

  • Hot gun is required when working on corners or edges, please remember that the hot gun temperature should be controlled at 80-100 degrees(no more than 80 degrees for 6D carbon fiber vinyl ) or the surface may melt, the texture will go patchy and vapor will come in.
  • DO NOT heat up one area of vinyl wrap for more than 10 seconds. The correct heating method is to keep the hot gun 20-30cm away from the film while swing the hot gun for 3-5 seconds to ensure that the film is heated evenly, otherwise it will burn the texture of the film.
  • The vinyl wrap and protection film is slightly adhesive, cleaning the surface thoroughly and hot gun is required for better adhesion.

How to apply:

  1. Use just water or mixture of water and alcohol to clean the surface thoroughly before applying the film.
  2. Take down extra car parts so that there is no obstruction when applying the film.
  3. Peel the paper backing from the vinyl wrap and start applying. Scrapper may be needed when applying on large area for squeezing out air bubble and better attachment.
  4. When working on corners or edges, heat the film generously and conform the film to shape. The temperature of the hot gun should be controlled at 80-100 degrees(no more than 80 degrees for 6D carbon fiber vinyl ) to make it better adhere to the curved position and edges.
  5. When applying 6D carbon fiber vinyl wrap, temperature of the hot gun should be controlled within 80 degrees.
