In the terrarium, the SolArraptor mixing spotlight should be combined with T5 or LED lighting to ensure basic illumination of the terrarium. The SolarRaptor mixing lamp is cost-effective and can be operated without a ballast. A heat-resistant E27 ceramic socket should be used as the socket. When installing in the terrarium, please make sure that the terrarium inhabitants cannot burn themselves on the lamp – it is recommended to use the SolarRaptor Clamp Lamp with integrated E27 ceramic socket. In order to optimally supply the terrarium inhabitants with the vital UV radiation, the mixed light emitter must be replaced after 12 months at the latest. We recommend 150μW/cm2 – 200 μW/cm2 UV radiance at the animal’s sunspot, which corresponds to an averaged safe UV-B value. It is mainly used in terrariums designed to simulate a desert or steppe climate. With the SolarRaptor mixing lamp 160 W, the UV radiation is emitted even in large terrariums to the terrarium floor and ensures sufficient natural UV radiation.
