Komodo Straw Terrain, Substrates for Reptiles, Reptile Bedding, Reptile Substrate, Straw Bedding, Straw Terrain, may vary Komodo Straw Terrain is a naturally soft substrate, which due to it being suitable for dry or humid environments, is ideal for use with tortoises and a wide range of snakes and lizards. Made from 100% natural straw, this eco-friendly, sustainable and bio-degradable substrate is virtually dust free and will break down to fine particles if they become wet and wil break down in the same way if accidently swallowed reducing the risk of impaction. The Straw Terrain pellets are ultra absorbent and solied pellets are easily isolated and removed, reducing the release of ammonia and keeping the enclosure fresh and odour free. Komodo Coarse Beech Chips, Substrate for Reptiles, Natural Substrate, Reptile Substrate, Beech Chips, Coarse, 6 Litre, may vary Komodo’s Beech Chips offer a versatile flooring solution for most reptiles including snakes, lizards, and tortoises; The Wood chips are perfect for allowing snakes to tunnel, giving them the freedom to hide and exhibit natural behaviours; This natural bark chippings substrate is sourced from 100% renewable resources; The Beech Chips are ideal for use with reptiles requiring an arid environment, beech chips are also great for reptiles needing a semi-humid environment; It is important to note that when using the Komodo Beech Chips with under floor heating, care must be taken to ensure no more than a 2cm layer is placed on top of the heater; Beech Chips are an excellent insulator, however using a layer of chips over the recommended depth can quickly cause thermal blocking which can lead to high temperatures and potentially cause a hazardous situation; Our Komodo Beech Chips are used by keepers worldwide and are sourced from sustainable forests and kiln dried and are available in coarse or fine; Best of all you can mix and match amongst the range of our Komodo Substrates to provide your reptile with that ultimate habitat; It is recommended that you check the substrate daily to give it a quick spot clean and remove any soiled chips; Every 2-3 weeks you should complete replace the substrate to maintain the cleanliness of your reptile??s habitat.
