No matter how noisy environment it is, Rayzm clip-on tuner can help tuning your instrument in a second, just put it into the headstock of your instrument, set the suitable tuning mode, pluck your string and start tuning.

It has 6 tuning modes ( Chromatic, Guitar, Ukulele, Violin, Ukulele C&D ), so if you are tuning a guitar, you can use Guitar mode or Chromatic mode.

For other stringed instrument like mandolin, banjo, please use Chromatic mode to tune.

Working principle:

Each note corresponds to a sound frequency like C4=261.63 HZ, #G4=415.3 Hz. So the electronic tuner recognizes the sound frequency of your instrument and tells you its current note. The chromatic circle is: C, C#, D, D#, E, F, F#, G, G#, A, A#, B, C. Before tuning, you must know the notes name of your instrument, like guitar is (6)E, (5)A, (4)D, (3)G, (2)B, (1)E. So when you tune up your instrument, you need to loosen or tighten the string according to the note circle until the right note shows on the screen in green color.

For example: If you tune the 5th string of your guitar by guitar mode with 4D on the screen, means the current note is sharp, loosen the string until 5A shows in green color.

Note: This tuner is only for Chromatic stringed instrument like guitar, bass, ukulele, violin, mandolin, banjo etc. If to use tuning instrument by other key, you need to transpose the note, so we do not recommend beginners to order it for other instruments like saxophone, flute, piano etc , please buy a specific tuner for them instead.
