Weight The weight of the hammer will affect the amount of force and striking power required to embed larger nails. A 20Oz hammer in comparison to a 16Oz would be better suited for driving larger fixings above 75 mm and vice versa a 16Oz hammer would be better suited for fixing smaller nails.
